Mid-South Women in Tourism (MSWIT), the premier women’s travel & tourism organization in Greater New Orleans, is seeking sponsors for their annual fundraiser to benefit the Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans (CAGNO), The New Orleans Family Justice Center, a UNO Scholarship for the Hotel Restaurant and Tourism Master’s Program, and Heartbeat NOLA.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 7 from 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM at the Copeland Tower Hotel in Metairie. The luncheon will include a fashion show, live entertainment, silent auction, and travel marketplace. An estimated 250 members, friends, and supporters of the four organizations will be in attendance. Proceeds will be distributed among the above mentioned non-profit organizations.

MSWIT’s primary objectives are to provide opportunities for women in the travel and tourism industries to network locally, nationally, and internationally with contacts that will contribute to their professional and personal growth, and to encourage and assist women to improve their knowledge and experience through educational programs.

CAGNO prides itself in protecting and defending the community against cancer through education, outreach, research and assistance of needy cancer patients. CAGNO’s patient services program provides vital prescription medications and necessities to cancer patients who otherwise would have to do without.

New Orleans Family Justice Center is a partnership of agencies dedicated to ending family violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and stalking through prevention and coordinated response by providing comprehensive clientcentered, empowerment services in a single location.

The UNO Lester E. Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration offers a premiere undergraduate hospitality management education. Their exceptional master’s degree program is the only one in the state of Louisiana.

Heartbeat NOLA’s mission is to spread awareness about the leading cause of death in the US – Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and to educate those in our community how to do CPR and use and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to save a life from SCA. Also, to raise funds to place Public Access Defibrillators (PADs) in strategic venues around the city and to encourage those in our hospitality industry to be pro-active by developing CPR/AED programs in the workplace.

We hope that you will consider a sponsorship for this event. If you are unable to sponsor, but would like more information on tickets, silent auction donations, or goody bag donations, please contact us at info@mswit.com or phone 504-915-5454.
