Suzanne Stafford is the founder of Treasures Market and The Faery Court Ball, two Gulf Coast ventures that blend entrepreneurship, community engagement, sustainability, and creativity. With a background in fashion design, event production, marketing, and small business development, she is passionate about creating opportunities that support local businesses, encourage upcycling and slow fashion, and bring people together through unique experiences. Her events, workshops, and boutique encourage visitors to explore the Mississippi Gulf Coast while celebrating creativity, local businesses, and cultural experiences.

Suzanne operates Treasures Market, a year-round boutique and community marketplace, while also producing large-scale themed events and immersive fantasy galas. She enjoys helping entrepreneurs grow through collaboration, innovative marketing, and strategic partnerships. Through her Alchemy of Cloth workshops, she teaches participants how to transform thrifted and reclaimed textiles into one-of-a-kind wearable art, inspiring creativity while promoting sustainable fashion and giving new life to forgotten materials.

Planning is in full swing for her award-winning 7th Annual Fantasy Ball: Court of Anubis on September 26 in Biloxi. The annual fantasy gala, also known as the Faery Court Ball, attracts visitors from across the Southeast, encouraging overnight or long weekend stays while celebrating creativity, costumes, local businesses, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Fun facts: Suzanne is known as the Autumn Faery Queen and “The Faery Queen’s Modiste.” She designs couture costumes and formalwear and has spent years creating immersive fantasy events inspired by folklore, mythology, and history. When she’s not planning events or running her businesses, she enjoys treasure hunting for vintage finds, creative problem-solving, and discovering new ways to transform imaginative ideas into reality. She jokes that she has enough project ideas planned to keep her busy for several lifetimes.

This December, Suzanne is looking forward to meeting her Mississippi State University junior son in Egypt after he completes his semester abroad in Singapore.

Suzanne’s favorite part of MSWIT is connecting with the incredible people who champion tourism along the Gulf Coast and work together to showcase the region’s unique attractions, businesses, and experiences.
