For more than 30 years, Donna Horowitz has built a distinguished career in advertising and publishing, driven by her passion for New Orleans, its vibrant culture, and its world-renowned tourism industry. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to creating publications that promote local businesses while enhancing the visitor experience, helping travelers discover the authentic spirit of the city.
In 2010, after a successful career as a corporate publisher, Donna left the corporate world to pursue her entrepreneurial vision. She founded French Quarterly Magazine, a publication celebrating the history, culture, cuisine, music, architecture, and businesses of the French Quarter. As publisher and editor, she has grown the magazine into a trusted resource for visitors exploring one of America’s most iconic neighborhoods.
Recognizing the need for practical visitor resources, Donna expanded her publishing company to include The Concierge Map, The Mardi Gras Parade Routes and Schedules, and the Jazz Fest Schedule. These complimentary publications are distributed through hotel concierges throughout the greater New Orleans area, providing guests with easy-to-use information while supporting the hospitality industry and local businesses. They have become valuable tools for helping visitors experience the city with confidence.
Donna believes publishing is about more than advertising—it is about creating meaningful connections between visitors and the experiences that define New Orleans. Her publications highlight the city’s restaurants, shops, attractions, festivals, and entertainment while helping local businesses reach the millions of tourists who visit each year. This commitment has earned her the respect of both the publishing and tourism communities.
Beyond publishing, Donna remains deeply committed to serving the tourism and business industries. She serves on the Board of the French Quarter Business Association and is an active member of SKAL International New Orleans, a global organization of travel and tourism professionals, and MSWIT. Through these organizations, she collaborates with industry leaders, advocates for local businesses, and supports initiatives that strengthen New Orleans as a premier destination.
Donna Horowitz’s career reflects the power of entrepreneurship, community engagement, and a lifelong love for New Orleans. Through her publications, professional leadership, and unwavering commitment to the city’s tourism industry, she continues to promote the culture, businesses, and traditions that make New Orleans one of the world’s most unforgettable destinations.
In her spare time, Donna enjoys cooking, creating culinary delights for her family. She also loves traveling abroad with her husband and experiencing new cultures together. Some of their favorite destinations include Turks and Caicos and Italy, and they always look forward to exploring new places and creating lasting memories. Above all, she cherishes spending time with her five grandchildren. Whether they are traveling, celebrating family milestones, or simply enjoying time together, family is at the heart of what brings her the greatest joy.
