For more than 25 years, Cathryn Giff has built a career around one simple philosophy: create exceptional experiences while inspiring others to do the same. As General Manager of Hotel de la Monnaie and Vice President of Group Sales for Vacatia, she combines strategic leadership with an unwavering passion for hospitality, sales, and service excellence.

Throughout her career, Cathryn has held leadership positions with some of the industry’s most recognized hotel brands, consistently delivering outstanding revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and developing innovative sales strategies. Her accomplishments have earned significant industry recognition, including Sales Team of the Year, Director of Sales of the Year, and a prestigious nomination for General Manager of the Year by the American Resort Development Association.

When she’s not at the hotel, Cathryn believes life is meant to be an adventure. Whether she’s traveling to a new destination, discovering hidden gems around New Orleans, or enjoying the city’s incredible music, cuisine, festivals, and culture, she’s happiest exploring everything life has to offer. As she puts it, her favorite hobby is simply “everything!”

Cathryn is also deeply committed to giving back to the community through numerous professional and civic organizations. She is an active member of Skal, MSWIT, Les Dames d’Escoffier International, the Krewe of Cork, and the Patio Planters of the Vieux Carré. She also serves on the planning committee for the New Orleans Jazz Museum and is Co-Chair of its annual auction committee.  She also proudly serves on the Bicentennial Committee for the Historic BK House & Gardens and is a member of the planning committee for its annual Soiree in the Vieux Carre.

Whether leading a hotel team, supporting community organizations, or embracing the next adventure, Cathryn brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine love of people to everything she does.
