Member Spotlight:
Jodi Lafranca
Administrator
French Quarter Business Association (FQBA)
Jodi Lafranca’s career in New Orleans hospitality and tourism spans more than 40 years, and she has been a proud member of MSWIT for much of that journey. She feels fortunate to have built a career around something she truly loves—promoting and connecting people to our national treasure, the historic French Quarter, and the city of New Orleans.
Her love affair with New Orleans began on a seventh-grade field trip to the Musée Conti Wax Museum in the French Quarter. Her fascination with the city’s history and architecture only grew as she explored its neighborhoods and immersed herself in its intriguing past.
Jodi’s career has included sales and marketing roles with some of New Orleans’ most notable hotels, including the Fairmont, Le Méridien, Hilton, Sheraton, Hotel Inter-Continental, Bienville House and Maison Dupuy, as well as helping open the former Wyndham Riverfront Hotel. From local corporate accounts and Tour & Travel to major conventions, she has found great joy in showcasing New Orleans and sharing its unique charm with visitors from around the world.
After six years on the French Quarter Business Association’s Board of Directors, Jodi now serves as the association’s Administrator. She advocates for French Quarter businesses, creates networking and cooperative marketing opportunities, and connects businesses with city officials, agencies and tourism partners. Through the FQBA, she works to promote economic vitality while helping preserve the historic and cultural character of the Vieux Carré.
Outside of work, Jodi enjoys traveling, photography and experiencing New Orleans’ many festivals with family and friends. She is grateful for the lasting friendships and professional relationships she has built through MSWIT and for the opportunity to be part of the women who help make Louisiana’s hospitality and tourism industry so special.
