Member Spotlight:
Angela Aspiazu
Co-Founder/Managing Partner, New Orleans Secrets
Certified Travel Advisor, Fora Travel
MSWIT Board Member/Parlamentarium

Angela Aspiazu may have been born in the Midwest, but New Orleans is where she found her heart. With a background as both a creative director and finance professional, Angela once considered herself indifferent to history. That changed instantly during a pivotal business trip to New Orleans, where the city’s layered culture, colorful people, amazing cuisine, and lived history sparked a passion that would reshape her life and career.

In 2014, Angela transformed that passion into purpose by co-founding New Orleans Secrets, a boutique tour and experience company dedicated to revealing the city beyond the surface through public (daily) and private tours and experiences. A natural storyteller and master experience designer, Angela is known for crafting everything from single events to five-day Best Chefs of New Orleans culinary immersions to ten-day paranormal journeys across Louisiana. Whether orchestrating an offsite for corporate groups of 350 or curating a behind-the-scenes cultural experience for a private family, her guiding philosophy is simple: every vacation dollar should become a meaningful, unforgettable story, and falling in love with New Orleans culture should be at the center of it all.

Beyond New Orleans Secrets, Angela is a Certified Travel Advisor with Fora Travel, where she applies her deep destination knowledge and logistical expertise to curate seamless, transformational journeys around the world. Her professional approach uniquely blends creativity and strategy—shaped by an MBA and degrees in International Studies and Economics, plus her earlier career work as a hotel manager.  Angela is also a member of Les Dames d’Escouffier International, PROST New Orleans, and a Goldman Sacs 10,000 Small Business Alumna.

When she’s not guiding tours or designing travel experiences, Angela is usually out discovering new corners of New Orleans with her husband and business partner, Mark. A lifelong performer, Angela’s roots span musical theater, opera, choirs, and percussion, and today she continues to express that passion for performing as a member of two local dance groups and is learning the ukulele. A curious world traveler and enthusiastic culinary explorer, she is happiest when discovering new foods and restaurants with Mark and plotting their next great adventure.

Angela is honored to serve on the Board of MSWIT, where she values the organization’s culture of collaboration, mentorship, and genuine connection. For her, the most rewarding part of membership is building authentic friendships with talented, passionate women who uplift one another and share a deep love for the city and the travel and tourism industry as a whole.
