Our next MSWIT Dinner Meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 23 at Tujague’s Restaurant on Decatur St. in the French Quarter. MSWIT Member Shelly Dupuy has reserved a special room for us and a delicious menu for our dinner. (see menu below)
Our Speaker for this meeting is Shantrell Green *see fabulous bio below. We asked Shantrell to speak to us with her words of wisdom on “Multitasking Life/Work And Getting The Most Out of Both!

Shantrell M. Green is a New Orleans native with a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Dillard University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. Shantrell is a member of Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Society. Shantrell is also a MOM Manager of one with over ten years in the entertainment business Shantrell has partnered with New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival,Essence Music Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, Satchmo Festival and more. With an impressive background in theatre and film, Shantrell has curated many community engagements and serves as a resources hub for young professionals. After graduating Dillard University in 2015, Shantrell immediately went into the film industry as a Casting Assistant, Costumer, and Production Coordinator. She has had the privilege of working with high profile celebrities on featured films, commercials, television shows, casting calls, and VIP event planning. Shantrell also started a nonprofit organization for adults and children interested in film, theatre, and television called Project Gumbeaux. She was granted the honor of becoming the first black woman to work at the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra as the House Manager and Box Office Manager. For the past eight years, Shantrell has been leading and curating community events for companies such as Dillard University Theatre Department, NORDC, Urban League of Louisiana and Holmes Healthcare Training Facility. In 2016, she opened her first profitable business, SMG Entertainment, specializing in event services, photography, dance fitness, youth empowerment, and 360 & Photobooth rentals.
